Cultural Park
The Cultural Park, or better known to the people of Surabaya as the Cak Durasim Building, used to be a Surabaya Regency building. In the beginning of 1709, the Kadipaten (Duchy) of Soerabaia was solely ruled by Kyai Adiati Jangrono II, who was assassinated later that year in Kartosura. In the effort to disrupt the power in Surabaya, the Dutch colonizer later abolished Kadipaten of Soerabaia and split it into two regents, namely Kasepuhan and Kanoman on Jalan Gentengkali 85. Today, the location is still known as Kadipaten.
