The Jobong well in Pandean is a large circular well made of three-tiered terracotta clay found on Jalan Pandean alley 1, Surabaya City. Jobong wells in particular are often referred to as ancient wells and are commonly found in classical period sites in Indonesia related to the Majapahit Kingdom. In the context of terracotta objects from the Majapahit period, jobong is included in the class of building components or elements. Jobong is a manifestation of the creativity of the Majapahit people in developing water facilities to overcome the problem of water shortages. The Jobong Pandean well has at least three important meanings in the development of the life of the city of Surabaya.
