Benteng Kedung Cowek, or Fort Kedung Cowek, is one of Dutch heritage forts that is located on the east side of the foot of the Suramadu Bridge, precisely in Kedung Cowek Subdistrict, Bulak District, Surabaya. This fort was planned and built in 1900, based on a blueprint that was signed by Capt. Engineer J.C. Proper on 15 January 1900 (Setyawan 2015, 11).
